CRITERIA

Provincial Championships standards are required for this group. All group placements are subject to the Head Coach's discretion.

PROGRAM

In this level, the emphasis is placed on qualifying and competing at the Youth/Junior National level. This program will offer a continued progression in all areas of training, including: overall fitness, mental skills, dry-land training and competitive performance. Only swimmers committed to striving towards excellence in a team environment will be considered for this level.

GOAL

· Canadian Open time standards

· Canadian Trial time standards

· Junior/Senior National time standards

· Proficiency at designated test sets

· Independence (Performance management of skills. Working with the coach, but able to take initiative and be responsible for oneself)
